How the Red Star Belgrade quiz is checked
Every question above was written by hand and verified before it went live.
All 42 Red Star Belgrade questions were checked twice before publication — once against the claim the question makes, and once against the wrong answers offered beside it. A question whose wrong options can be dismissed without knowing any football is not really a question, so those get rewritten or dropped rather than padded out. Anything that could not be confirmed was removed rather than guessed, which is why some sets are smaller than others. Every one of them carries a written explanation. Spot something wrong and tell us — corrections from players are how the bank stays accurate.

About the Red Star Belgrade quiz
Red Star Belgrade — Crvena zvezda — were founded in 1945 and have spent the decades since turning their corner of Belgrade into the loudest address in Balkan football. This free Red Star quiz covers the whole story: the red-and-white shirts, the Marakana rocking under the Delije, and the Eternal Derby against Partizan that stops the city. If you know your Zvezda, this is your test.
The club's greatest night came in 1991, when Red Star beat Marseille on penalties in Bari to win the European Cup, then added the Intercontinental Cup against Colo-Colo the same year. That side was studded with talent — Darko Pančev, Europe's top league scorer in 1990-91, the young Robert Prosinečki, and Dejan Savićević, all of whom were soon sold to Italy and Spain. Behind them stands Dragan Džajić, the left winger nicknamed 'Magic Dragan', still regarded as the greatest player the club ever produced.
Expect questions on the 1991 triumph, the Eternal Derby, the managers, and the stream of players who left the Marakana for the biggest leagues in Europe. You'll be asked who scored the decisive penalty in Bari, which French club Red Star beat in that final, and what the club's famous stadium is nicknamed. Difficulty climbs from easy openers about the colours and the city to genuinely hard deep cuts about specific finals, scorers and seasons.
Every question comes with a short explained answer, so even a miss teaches you the detail that makes it stick. Play the sample set below free in your browser, no sign-up needed. The full Red Star quiz — plus daily challenges, leaderboards and multiplayer — is in the Ball IQ app.
