About the Real Betis quiz
Real Betis Balompié were founded in 1907 and play in green-and-white stripes at the Estadio Benito Villamarín. This free Betis quiz covers the whole story: the passionate Béticos, the unmistakable chant '¡Viva el Betis manque pierda!' — long live Betis even when they lose — and one of the most loyal supports in Spanish football. If you know your Betis, this is your test.
Betis won La Liga in 1934-35, the club's sole league title and a proud landmark, and have lifted the Copa del Rey three times, in 1977, 2005 and most recently in 2022, when they beat Valencia on penalties. The modern era has been defined by the winger Joaquín, a beloved one-club icon of his generation, and by the manager Manuel Pellegrini, who brought European nights back to the Villamarín. Above all, the club's identity is bound up with the Seville derby against Sevilla, one of the fiercest in Spain.
Expect questions on the 1935 title, the cup wins, the club legends and the derby. You'll be asked what the famous Betis chant means, which club they beat to win the 2022 Copa del Rey, and what colours they wear. Difficulty climbs from easy openers about the city and the green-and-white to genuinely hard deep cuts about specific finals, scorers and seasons.
Every question comes with a short explained answer, so even a miss teaches you the detail that makes it stick. Play the sample set below free in your browser, no sign-up needed. The full Real Betis quiz — plus daily challenges, leaderboards and multiplayer — is in the Ball IQ app.
