Ronaldinho is the Brazilian playmaker who made football look like joy, and this quiz is built for the fans who still watch his highlight reels on repeat. His path ran from Grêmio in his native Porto Alegre to Paris Saint-Germain, then to the Barcelona side he dragged back to the top of Europe, on to AC Milan, and home again to Brazil with Flamengo, Atlético Mineiro, Querétaro in Mexico and finally Fluminense. If you can name the club where he lifted the Copa Libertadores, or you remember the night the Bernabéu stood to applaud an opponent, this one is for you.
At Barcelona he was the centre of everything, scoring 94 goals in 207 appearances and winning back-to-back La Liga titles in 2004-05 and 2005-06 before capping it with the 2005-06 Champions League. In 2005 he won the Ballon d'Or, adding to the FIFA World Player of the Year awards he took in both 2004 and 2005 — the years he was, by common consent, the best footballer on the planet. Before all of it, aged 22, he had already won the 2002 World Cup with Brazil, scoring the audacious long-range free kick that beat England in the quarter-final.
