About the Neymar quiz
Neymar is the most gifted Brazilian forward of his generation, a player whose career carried him from the beaches of Santos to the very top of the European game and back again. He broke through as a teenage phenomenon at Santos, moved to Barcelona in 2013 to form one third of the fearsome MSN attack, became the most expensive footballer in history when Paris Saint-Germain paid his release clause in 2017, spent a season and a half in Saudi Arabia with Al-Hilal, and returned to his boyhood club Santos in 2025. If you can name the trophies, the transfers and the trademark moments across all four of those chapters, this quiz is built for you.
The defining stretch came at Barcelona. In 2014-15 Neymar was central to a treble-winning side, sharing the front line with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez and scoring in the Champions League final against Juventus in Berlin as Barcelona became the first club to complete the continental treble twice. For his country he went further still: he overtook Pele to become Brazil's all-time leading goalscorer, won the Golden Ball at the 2013 Confederations Cup, and captained the side to Olympic gold on home soil in 2016. He announced his retirement from international football after Brazil's 2026 World Cup campaign, finishing as the Selecao's record scorer.
Expect the full spread. There are questions on the world-record fee that took him to PSG in 2017, the La Liga, Copa del Rey and Ligue 1 titles, the treble in Spain, his more than 450 career goals for club and country, and the individual moments only real fans remember. The difficulty scales from easy openers any Neymar fan will nod at, up to deep cuts on specific finals, scorelines and squad numbers that will separate the casual watcher from the obsessive.
Every answer comes with an explanation, so you finish the quiz knowing more than when you started. It is completely free, plays right in your browser, and needs no sign-up. If you enjoy it, the Ball IQ app goes deeper still, with more than 4,000 football questions, a daily football word game, and multiplayer modes where you can test your knowledge against friends.
