Answers — round 1
  1. A Buenos Aires department store — "A la Ciudad de Londres" was a fashion and department store in central Buenos Aires. Its younger staff, shut out of the store's existing club, broke away to found their own on New Year's Day 1905.
  2. Racing Club — Racing Club are the other half of Avellaneda. The first meeting between the two came back in 1907.
  3. El Cilindro — The neighbours' Estadio Presidente Perón, opened in 1950, is known as El Cilindro. La Bombonera is Boca's, El Monumental is River's and El Fortín is Vélez's.
  4. La Doble Visera — Its two big concrete roofs gave it the name "the double visor". Its last match was played in December 2006 and the new ground rose on the same site.

  1. José Percudani — Percudani scored inside the first ten minutes, set up by Claudio Marangoni, and was named man of the match.
  2. José Omar Pastoriza — Pastoriza managed the Tokyo win. Ferreiro had been the coach for the 1973 victory over Juventus.
  3. Jorge Burruchaga — Burruchaga was 22 in that Tokyo final. Two years later he scored the goal that beat West Germany in the World Cup final.
