tide
Privacy policy
Tide collects no data about you. It has no accounts, no servers of its own, no analytics and no advertising. Nothing you do in the app is transmitted anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go.
What the app stores
Tide keeps a record of your practice — which protocol you ran, how long for, and how long you held your breath — together with your sound and vibration preferences. All of it is written to your own device using local storage.
It is not uploaded, synced, backed up by us, or readable by anyone else. It never leaves your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes it, permanently and completely; there is no copy anywhere for us to return or erase on request, because we never had one.
What the app does not do
- No account, sign-up, email address or password.
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or usage tracking.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party SDKs that collect data.
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone or health data.
- No cookies, and no tracking across apps or websites.
Network use
Tide makes no network requests to any server we or anyone else operates. The only files it loads are the audio recordings bundled inside the app itself, read from your device's own storage.
Children
Tide is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing that could be gathered from a child under 13.
Your rights
Rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data — under the GDPR, the CCPA or any comparable law — apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none. Your practice history is yours alone, on your own device, and you can remove it at any time by deleting the app.
Changes
If a future version of Tide ever collects anything, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described plainly rather than buried. This policy was last updated on 6 August 2026.
